About Cors at the Shore

Cors at the Shore was initially launched in 2020. Unfortunately, the pandemic altered plans to bring an affordable regional education program to the Jersey Shore area. Now the New Jersey Cardiovascular Foundation is pleased to present the 2nd Cors at the Shore, with the addition of Vasc at the Shore bringing cutting-edge cardiovascular medical education to the region. Chairman Ramzan Zakir, MD, and Vice-Chairman Jordan Safirstein, MD, have built a strong educational team of Course Directors and Faculty. This diverse multidisciplinary faculty will cover topics of clinical cardiology, coronary CTO, structural heart, peripheral vascular disease and podiatry/wound care. Cors and Vasc at the Shore is an annual event delivering affordable and easy-to-access ACCME-accredited education.

The concept for Cors at the Shore evolved from a discussion about the challenges inherent in traveling for education and science in the current climate of cardiology practice. In the state of New Jersey, and its surrounding region, there are an inordinate number of excellent cardiologists nurses and technologists, to provide us with fantastic faculty options on any topic in cardiovascular disease. The New Jersey Cardiovascular Foundation has taken advantage of the local cardiovascular expertise. We identified that the era of expensive multi-day mega-courses, which feel large and impersonal, is waning and one-day regional courses that offer succinct updates in contemporary topics at a more affordable price point appeal to invasive and interventional cardiologists, nurses and cath lab staff at ALL levels. Quality education taught by regional thought-leaders.

We invite you to join us at Cors At The Shore and Vasc at the Shore September 13-15, 2024 at the Ocean Place Resort And Spa.
